What you are seeing is a valley of north italian mountains during a sunny day. The main characteristic of the picture is the white forest and no, it's not a digital work, it's the result of shooting with a modified camera able to take infrared light, making the chlorophyll in the leaves (after convertion to black and white) appearing white.
